Chicken Roll with Cheese and Herbs

Ingredients

  • Chicken breast 800 g
  • Salt 10 g
  • Black pepper 3 g
  • Garlic 2 cloves
  • Eggs 2 pcs
  • Cheese (hard cheese) 250 g
  • Fresh parsley ¼ bunch
  • Green onion ½ bunch
  • Oil 10 ml
  • Sauce:
  • Honey 20 ml
  • Mustard 20 g
  • Soy sauce 20 ml

Cooking Instructions

  1. Butterfly the chicken breast by slicing it in half lengthwise and pound it with a meat mallet to an even thickness on both sides.
  2. Season the chicken with salt and pepper, add the chopped garlic, and gently massage the mixture into the meat.
  3. Grate the cheese, finely chop the parsley and green onion.
  4. In a bowl, mix the grated cheese, chopped green onion, parsley, eggs, salt, and pepper until you get a uniform mixture.
  5. Spread the cheese and herb filling evenly over the chicken.
  6. Roll the chicken breast tightly, close the ends, and tie the roll with kitchen twine.
  7. Place the roll in a greased baking dish (recommended size: 20×20 cm).
  8. Mix honey, mustard, and soy sauce to make the glaze and brush it over the roll.
  9. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 30 minutes.
  10. Remove the twine, slice the roll, and serve with white yogurt sauce or ketchup.
