We Grow Grains Carefully on Our Own Fields

To obtain the best products, our chickens are fed with the highest quality grains, grown through responsible farming practices.

We like to have complete control over our products, which is why we handle the entire production process, from growing the grains to obtaining the prepared delicacies. Our work begins in the fields, where we carefully select the best grains, essential for feeding the birds and ensuring the superior quality of the final products.

Our agricultural fields are located in rural areas, far from cities, where the soil is fertile and benefits from gentle sunlight. The chickens’ food plays a vital role in our field and is the key factor that guarantees the quality of the final product. For this reason, we grow grains on our own fields, taking care of the environment and using efficient agricultural machinery to ensure effective cultivation and harvesting activities.

The AXEDUM family contributes with passion and patience to producing chicken meat products, from grain to fork, which Moldovans lovingly put on their tables.

A Family Story

Our beginnings are marked by the dedication and passion of the Cojocaru family, who transformed a small farm into a top company, recognized for the superior quality of its products. From the start, we have been motivated by the desire to offer consumers carefully raised chicken products, adhering to quality and food safety standards.

The foundation of our company is a commitment to quality and excellence. Over the years, we have made significant investments in infrastructure and technology, developing an integrated value chain that guarantees the superior quality of our products. This system includes poultry farms, a modern slaughterhouse, a feed mill, a high-performance incubator, and a meat processing plant, all operated with maximum responsibility and dedication.

1997

Company Foundation

In 1997, Axedum was founded, marking the beginning of an entrepreneurial journey full of courage, devotion, and success. Since then, this remarkable story has been written with unwavering commitment to quality, innovation, and excellence, each step of its evolution marked by extraordinary achievements and impressive transformations.

2006

Poultry Farm

In 2006, Grigore and Galina Cojocaru transformed a former Agricultural Cooperative for cattle breeding into a modern poultry farm, thus laying the foundation for Axedum farm and opening a new chapter in their entrepreneurial story.

2007

700 Hectares of Own Fields

In 2007, Axedum rented over 700 hectares of arable land, creating a closed-loop feed production system for chickens, further solidifying its position in the poultry industry.

2012

Feed Production

In 2012, the company invested in advanced agricultural technology and opened a feed production section. This initiative allowed for the production of superior quality feed, leading to better chicken meat products.

2013

8 More Halls

In 2013, the renovation and modernization of eight poultry houses were completed, equipped with advanced technology for temperature control, ventilation, and automated feeding, which improved production efficiency, chicken welfare, and adherence to quality and hygiene standards.

2014

1000 Hectares of Own Fields

In 2014, Axedum expanded its operations by acquiring and leasing approximately 1000 hectares of agricultural land for cereal cultivation. It also launched a new activity—vermiculture, producing organic fertilizer for use on its own fields, thus diversifying its portfolio and strengthening its commitment to sustainable agricultural practices.

2015

Sales Points

In 2015, Axedum opened a vast sales network under the Carne de Pui.md brand, covering the entire territory of the Republic of Moldova. This strategic expansion brought products closer to consumers, offering easy and convenient access to high-quality chicken meat and ensuring the constant availability of fresh products near their homes. Through its nationwide presence, Axedum solidified its reputation as a trusted brand.

2016

Slaughterhouse Acquisition

Axedum opened the country’s first poultry slaughterhouse, in accordance with European quality standards such as HACCP and ISO 22000. In addition, it inaugurated the company’s headquarters, providing optimal working conditions for all employees.

2017

New Visual Identity

The company adopted a new visual identity following a strategic rebranding, aimed at reflecting the company’s values and mission.

2018

Own Stores

In 2018, the new “Farmer’s Shop” concept was launched, bringing multiple advantages to customers by offering a modern and diversified shopping experience focused on fresh, high-quality products directly from the farm.

2019‑2022

Another 12 Halls

Between 2019 and 2022, Axedum modernized 12 more poultry houses.

2020‑2021

Incubator Construction

In 2020, Axedum made a significant leap by building the most advanced incubator in the Republic of Moldova.

2021

First Refrigeration Plant

Axedum implemented a modern CO2 cooling system, avoiding contact with water and preserving the quality of the products.

2023

Quality 10+

Axedum has established itself as one of the most important national producers. In the same year, it launched the production of chicken pâtés and various types of canned meats.

2024

Export to the EU

Axedum received authorization for the export of fresh chicken meat to the European Union, confirming its high standards of quality and food safety.

2024

The First Egg Production Poultry Farm

In 2024, we launched our first COD 1 egg production poultry farm, located in the heart of the Codrii forest. The hens are raised in natural conditions with access to fresh air, ensuring fresh and high-quality eggs.

BIO Fertilizer Production

We Produce Our Own Organic Fertilizer

We produce our own organic fertilizer through the “vermiculture” technique.

The production of our own organic fertilizer, obtained from the waste of our chicken farms using “vermiculture,” allows us to grow natural grains without using chemical fertilizers.

The Biovit and Bioeffect organic fertilizers are an innovation in Moldovan agriculture, carefully made in the village of Iurievca, Cimișlia district. These fertilizers are obtained through “vermiculture,” using poultry waste to provide an eco-friendly and sustainable alternative for fertilizing the soil. Enriched with essential nutrients from the highest quality organic materials, these fertilizers significantly contribute to soil fertilization and promote healthy plant growth.

The special formulation of Biovit and Bioeffect fertilizers supports optimal plant development and ensures efficient nutrient absorption without harmful chemicals. Choosing this environmentally friendly product contributes to a sustainable solution that not only promotes plant health but also guarantees abundant harvests.

Manufactured in the Republic of Moldova, Biovit and Bioeffect organic fertilizers reflect AXEDUM farms’ commitment to quality and sustainability.

Our chicken meat products are delivered both in the Republic of Moldova and in the European Union and other international markets.

OWN DISTRIBUTION NETWORK

AXEDUM has a solid and efficient distribution network, supported by a team of over 50 dedicated professionals. These experts successfully manage all our sales points, from Cash&Carry stores to hypermarkets, supermarkets, and neighborhood grocery stores.

Through the commitment and expertise of our team, we ensure that our chicken products reach consumers in the best conditions, meeting rigorous quality and food safety standards. Every step of the distribution process is carefully monitored to guarantee that each product retains its quality and freshness.

FOOD SAFETY

Our own distribution network allows us to control all aspects related to hygiene and sanitary requirements during the transport of chicken products, while providing high-quality services tailored to the needs of each partner. Our products are delivered to customers in the best conditions through 5 strategically located logistics platforms in major cities across the country: Chișinău, Bălți, Cahul, Comrat, Orhei, Ungheni, Soroca, Hâncești, and Edineț. These platforms allow us to efficiently cover the entire national territory, ensuring fast and safe deliveries.

Our company takes pride in its robust national presence, distributing our products in over 1000 national stores, wholesale points, and our own shops. Our logistics fleet, consisting of over 50 modern vehicles equipped with refrigeration systems, ensures that the products reach their destination in optimal conditions, maintaining their freshness and quality.

EXPORT

We are the first company in the Republic of Moldova authorized to export refrigerated, frozen, and processed chicken meat to the European Union. The needs and expectations of our internal and external customers – companies in modern retail, wholesale distribution, or HoReCa – inspire us every day. In addition to national distribution, we are constantly expanding our export activities, taking our 10+ Quality chicken products to international markets. We collaborate with trusted partners worldwide, strengthening our global presence and bringing authentic Moldovan taste to consumers everywhere.
